The Suns were outrebounded 46-31 and they didn’t play any D as the Sixers shot 54.9% from the floor so it’s no mystery why they lost this game. Steve Nash led the way for the Suns in this game with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 15 assists last night. Vince Carter filled up the stat sheet in his Suns’ debut with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. Grant Hill pitched in with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal in this game. Mickeal Pietrus (15 points) and Marcin Gortat (13 points) also had decent games off the bench. The Suns are now 13-17 on the year.

Grant Hill keeps rolling along for the Phoenix Suns

The doctors told 38-year old small forward Grant Hill that he should retire four years ago due to his ankle. But he has been great for the Suns since signing with them and he’s still playing great basketball. Hill has played in 29 games (all starts) for the Suns so far this year and he is averaging 30.6 minutes, 14.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Hill is also shooting 52.5% from the floor so far this year as he only really takes good shots as he is a team player. I don’t know how much longer Hill can keep playing like he is right now but I’ve seen no signs of him slowing down.

Los Angeles Clippers 108, Phoenix Suns 103

The Suns were outrebounded 40-33 and the Clippers shot 53.3% from the floor and that did them in last night. Mickael Pietrus led the way for the Suns in this game with 25 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal in 27 minutes off the bench. Steve Nash was solid in running the offense for the Suns in this game with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 15 assists. Grant Hill pitched in with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in this game. Channing Frye (12 points) and Marcin Gortat (11 points) also helped out offensively in this game. The Suns are now 13-16 on the season.

Miami Heat 95, Phoenix Suns 83

The Suns just couldn’t keep up with the Heat tonight. You can’t blame Jared Dudley for the loss as he led the way for the Suns with 33 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals on 7 of 10 shooting from three point range! Channing Frye (14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot), Robin Lopez (12 points, 5 rebounds and 1 blocked shot) and Steve Nash (4 points, 4 rebounds and 18 assists) also pitched in for the Suns in this game. The Suns are now 13-15 on the year.

The Phoenix Suns don’t have much P.T. for rookies

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Rookie Reports, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 22 December 2010 at 10:29 pm

24-year old center Garrett Siler has played in 6 games (0 starts) for the Suns so far this year and he is averaging 5.8 minutes, 1.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. 22-year old power forward Gani Lawal has yet to play in a game this season for the Suns. The Suns just don’t have much playing time available for rookies this year as they are a veteran laden team.
