The Phoenix Suns (14-5) got off to an awful start last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers (13-5), and found themselves down 33-14 after one and 57-29 at halftime. The Suns shot 40% from the field and were out-rebounded 51-41 by the Cavs. It would seem that the Suns fell victim to a monster game by LeBron James, but that wasn’t the case as LeBron only had 12 points. He did have 10 assists and 8 rebounds and the Suns gave up 49 points to the Cavs’ bench. The Suns actually won the second half, but they put themselves in such a big hole that the game was basically over at halftime. Steve Nash had 14 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds but he also turned the ball over an uncharacteristic 6 times. Channing Frye led the team with 22 points and 7 rebounds. The Suns have never been known for their defense, but they need to get better defensively because this is what happens when the Suns don’t come out shooting the ball well.
