Phoenix Suns 116, San Antonio Spurs 104
The Phoenix Suns (17-8) shot the ball great last night in their win over the San Antonio Spurs (12-10). They hit 52% from the field and were on fire from three, hitting 61% from behind the arc. Goran Dragic had the hot hand for Phoenix, coming off the bench and hitting 4-5 threes to help get him a season-high 18 points in 25 minutes. Amare Stoudemire and Steve Nash did their thing for the Suns. Stoudemire had 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 steals while Nash dropped 25 points, 13 assists, and 3 rebounds. The Suns were on their way to a huge win, and were up as many as 20 points in the third quarter. They could not contain Spurs’ star forward Tim Duncan though, and he helped get the Spurs back in the game with 34 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks. The Suns did a good job defending most of the other Spurs’ players though, as only three other players besides Duncan scored in double figures.
