The Phoenix Suns have again won the Pacific Division with a 61-21 record, 19 games ahead of the Lakers and Warriors.  The Suns were awesome at home as they were 33-8 there and they were an outstanding 28-13 on the road.  The Suns were 36-16 against the Western Conference and 11-5 against their Division foes.  They averaged 110.2 points per game and allowed 102.9 per game.  They finished the season winning 7 of their last 10 games.

The Phoenix Suns need more from Boris Diaw

Boris Diaw hasn’t played too well this month and he needs to change that soon with the playoffs starting next weekend. Diaw has played in 6 games this month and he’s only averaging 6.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.  He also is only shooting 36.2% from the floor and that just won’t get it done for the Suns.

Leandro Barbosa is on fire as of late for the Phoenix Suns

The last two weeks Leandro Barbosa has been on fire for the Suns.  In his last 7 games (3 starts) he’s averaging 22.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game.  He’s also hit 23 of 45 (51.1%) from three-point range in those games.  He’s almost becoming a go-to player, but that’s not the way the Suns operate.

The Phoenix Suns better get their act back into gear

The Suns are sitting at 56-19 on the season after their tough loss to the San Antonio Spurs.  The Spurs are now only 2 games behind the Suns for the #2 spot in the Western Conference Playoff seeding.  The Suns are in a tough spot because they’re not a very deep team and they can’t afford to rest players for the playoffs because the Spurs are right behind them and the Suns still have 7 games to play.
