Amare Stoudamire looking like old self

Blogged under Steppin Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 24 January 2007 at 1:07 am

Amare Stoudamire has been awesome lately.  It looks like he’s finally fully recovered from the major knee injury he had almost two seasons ago.  In his last 7 games, Stoudamire has averaged 21.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 1.6 blocks per game.  If the Suns can keep Stoudamire healthy…they will have a chance to win the NBA Championship this season!

The Suns smoke the Timberwolves 131-102 in Phoenix

Blogged under Game recaps, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Sunday 21 January 2007 at 10:53 pm

The Suns outscored the Timberwolves 46-20 in the third quarter and then cruised to victory.  The Suns also hit 56.8% of their shots from the floor and outrebounded the Wolves 49-35 so there were alot of reasons for their blowout victory today.  Amare Stoudamire led the way for the Suns with 25 points and 8 rebounds.  Leanadro Barbosa had a solid game off the bench with 20 points.  Shawn Marion had a monster game near the glass with 17 points and 20 rebounds.  Steve Nash did a great job of running the offense with 16 points and 11 assists.

The Suns improved to 32-8 on the season with this victory.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270121021

Blogged under Game recaps, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Saturday 20 January 2007 at 2:07 pm

The Suns shot 52.8% from the floor as a team and that was the main reason they won this basketball game last night.  Amare Stoudamire had a good game with 23 points and 7 rebounds.  Boris Diaw also had a good game with 21 points and 4 rebounds.  Leandro Barbosa came off the bench gunning with 20 points and 4 assists.  Steve Nash did his usual great job of directing the offense with 13 points and 15 assists.

The Suns improved to 31-8 on the season with this win.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270119021

The Suns held the Rockets to 39.3% shooting from the floor and that’s why they won this game on the road.  Amare Stoudamire was tough as nails in the paint with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  Steve Nash did a good job of directing the offense with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 14 assists.  Leandro Barbosa had a great game off the bench with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Suns improved to 30-8 on the season with this win.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270117010

Jalen Rose doing nothing since coming over from the Knicks

Blogged under Need to step up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 16 January 2007 at 11:57 pm

Jalen Rose is doing little to justify his being on the Suns roster.  He hasn’t got much playing time, but he hasn’t earned any.  He’s played in 19 games this season and is averaging 9.2 minutes, 3.6 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.  He really has the look of a player that is toast.
