Suns win 13th game in a row, 105-101 over the Warriors

The Suns raced out to a 34-17 lead in the first quarter and made it stand up.  The Suns also out-rebounded the Warriors 52-44.  Amare Stoudamire had an outstanding game and led the way for the Suns with 25 points and 10 rebounds.  Boris Diaw scored a triple-double with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists.  Steve Nash had a below-average game for him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.  Shawn Marion was tough around the basket with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  Raja Bell added 11 points and 5 rebounds.  Leandro Barbosa scored 11 points off the bench.

The Suns won their 13th game in a row and improved to 16-6 on the season.

Suns play good defense and win 99-89 in Miami

The Heat was without Dwyane Wade and they couldn’t shoot as the Suns held them to 39.8% shooting from the floor.  Shawn Marion led the way for the Suns with 23 points and 13 rebounds.  Steve Nash did a good job of running the offense with 18 points and 11 assists.  Boris Diaw was real busy with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.  Amare Stoudamire added 12 points.  Leandro Barbosa (10 points) and James Jones (10 points, 4 rebounds) each pitched in off the bench.

The Suns improved to 15-6 with this victory.

Suns have no rookies

It was odd on draft night to hear that the Phoenix Suns had sold their draft picks for cash.  With the team so close to the salary cap, they just decided that they would rather spend their money on veterans instead of rookies.  It was probably a good move because of the Suns goal….which is to win a NBA Championship now.

Suns hot shooting does Magic in 103-89

The Suns shot 51.4% from the floor and outscored the Magic 30-14 in the third quarter on their way to victory.  Amare Stoudamire had a great game with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  Shawn Marion had a stat sheet stuffer with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocked shots.  Steve Nash was outstanding directing the offense with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 15 assists.  Boris Diaw added 13 points and 5 rebounds.  Raja Bell scored 10 points.

The Suns improved to 14-6 on the season with this win.

Suns blow out the Bobcats 114-84

The Suns outscored the Bobcats 57-30 in the second half to win the game.  The Suns shot 52.9% from the floor and outrebounded the Bobcats 47-33.

The Suns spread the scoring around on this night.  Amare Stoudamire led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Boris Diaw had a good game with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.  Shawn Marion had a decent game with 14 points and 9 rebounds.  Raja Bell added 14 points.  Leandro Barbosa scored 15 points and dished out 5 assists off the bench.  Steve Nash scored 11 points and dished out 10 assists.

The Suns improved to 13-6 on the season.
